Terms and Conditions

This is a binding agreement between the supplier, here forth known as “Vidda Explorer AS”, and the person, here forth known as “participant”.

Vidda Explorer AS offers guide services to participants, here forth known as “activities”.

Vidda Explorer AS reserves the right to change these terms and conditions without notice at any time. It is the participant’s duty to ensure that they are familiar with the applicable conditions.

General terms

  • By reserving and participating in an activity with Vidda Explorer AS, the participant agrees to follow these terms and conditions.
  • Once the activity has been confirmed as paid, the reservations are binding.
  • Written or digital confirmation from Vidda Explorer AS is also binding if the activity is to be invoiced.
  • When making a reservation, the participant allows Vidda Explorer AS to communicate via specified channels such as e-mail and/or telephone, both before and after the activity has been completed.
  • Vidda Explorer AS can refuse to take a participant on an activity if the participant does not have the opportunity to show reservation confirmation and/or identify themselves on request.
  • Vidda Explorer AS reserves the right to refuse participation at its own discretion.
  • Using and/or being under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol during participation is strictly prohibited, and Vidda Explorer AS reserves the right to refuse participation before and/or during the activity without refund.

Payment terms

  • Our online payment solutions require the use of a credit card and we process your data according to our privacy policy, see: https://viddaexplorer.no/en/declarations-and-conditions/privacy-policy
  • Payment by cash is only possible with NOK in exact value. We do not have the option to exchange.
  • Invoicing is only possible by agreement in advance and has a 14-day payment deadline.

Activities

  • Participants in an activity with Vidda Explorer AS agree to always use appropriate protective equipment, for example a helmet on a cycle tour.
  • Vidda Explorer AS ensures that all equipment is inspected and ready for use before participants use the equipment. It is nevertheless the participant’s duty to ensure that the equipment works as expected and to inform the guide immediately if problems arise and/or something is not right.
  • Some activities require a minimum age for participation.
  • Some activities may be physically demanding, please contact Vidda Explorer AS for further information or in case of uncertainty.
  • It is the participant’s duty to inform Vidda Explorer AS of age and possible health restrictions that may affect the participant during the activity, including allergies and physical restrictions.
  • It is the participant’s duty to inform Vidda Explorer AS of the necessary information that is requested in order to start and/or complete the activity.
  • Vidda Explorer AS cannot be held responsible for the participant’s negligence during the activity and is not held liable for any damage that should occur due to the participant’s negligence and/or incorrect use of the supplied equipment.
  • The participant undertakes to fill in the incident form together with the guide if an incident/injury occurs. Vidda Explorer AS reserves the right to preserve the form in connection with any successive follow up and for internal control.
  • Vidda Explorer AS undertakes to bring a first aid kit to every activity.

Cancellation

  • Vidda Explorer AS reserves the right to cancel any activity if situational conditions are such that they may expose participants to increased risk.
  • If an activity has to be cancelled, participants will be offered the chance to move to another activity and/or another date. Participants must pay any intermediate fees for a more expensive activity.
  • If Vidda Explorer AS cancels an activity and participants do not have the opportunity or desire to move to another activity, participants receive a 100% refund.
  • Vidda Explorer AS can cancel the activity if the minimum number of participants is not reached. Registered participants then receive a 100% refund or an offer of another activity. Participants must pay any intermediate fees for a more expensive activity.
  • If the participant cancels the activity 24 hours before the start of the activity, the participant receives a 100% refund.
  • If the participant cancels the activity within 24 hours before the start of the trip, there is no refund.
  • Private activities and events must be canceled with 7 days’ notice for a 100% refund, if canceled between 7-1 day a 50% refund is given, within 24 hours no refund is given.
  • If the participant has to cancel an activity for medical reasons, it is recommended to contact travel insurance.
  • In case of cancellation, the participant should send a copy of the reservation confirmation to post@viddaexplorer.no with all necessary information and attachments.
  • Vidda Explorer AS reserves the right to waive these cancellation conditions at any time to the benefit of the participant.
