Our History
Vidda Explorer AS started in 2023 with the aim of offering intimate guide services and experiences in Rjukan and the surrounding area. We mainly focus on small groups and individual travelers on day trips, but can also take on larger assignments and events in Norway and internationally.
Our certified nature guides are trained to take you out into nature, convey the history of the area, manage safety and preserve the environment.
Vidda Explorer AS is a member of Visit Rjukan.
We happily co-operate with other local businesses such as:
Intersport Rjukan – For all our outdoor equipment needs, including new bikes and highest quality snowshoes for our activities.
Our logo is inspired by Roald Amundsen’s expedition compass that he took to the South Pole (he trained beforehand in Hardangervidda), as well as the unique shapes and colors we find in Telemark. Design by heimdaldesign.no.
